MEETING MINUTES
JUNE 13, 2013
The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A.M. in the David J Blackstead meeting room in the City-County Building, 221 N 5TH St., Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presided.
Members present: Jim Christianson, Claire Anne Holmberg, Chuck Hale
Members absent: Brian Peterson and Dina Baird
Staff Members: Dennis Torgerson, Rocky Gordon, Sue Schaff , Jason Tomanek
Others present: Bill Wocken and Steve Saunders
MINUTES
Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the May 9 and 21, 2013 meetings.
MOTION A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Chuck
Hale and unanimously approved by all members present that the minutes of the May 9 and 21, 2013 meetings be approved.
REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
MOTION: A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Chuck Hale with a roll call vote, Chuck-aye, Claire-Anne-aye, and Jim-aye to approve the May financial statement.
SIGNAGE PROJECT UPDATE
Rocky Gordon reported that there were no bidders at the Parkade signage project bid opening. There are adjustments being made to the spec and it will be readvertised.
OTHER BUSINESS
PARKADE REMODEL UPDATE
Rocky Gordon reported that the project is progressing well.
UPDATE ON RAMP DEVELOPMENT
MOTION: A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Chuck
Hale with a roll call vote, Chuck-aye, Claire Anne-aye, and Jim-aye,
to approved the Parking Ramp Development Agreement with Sanford.
POLICY ON PARKING RAMP FOR USAGE OTHER THAN PARKING
MOTION: A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Chuck
Hale with a roll call vote, Chuck-aye, Claire Anne-aye, and Jim-aye
to amend the language on the parking policy use of facilities for other
than parking. The language change will be presented at the next
meeting.
MOTION: A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Chuck
Hale with a roll call vote, Chuck-aye, Claire Anne-aye, and Jim-aye
to amend the motion and approve language presented by Rocky
Gordon which allows a media exception for ramp usage in time
sensitive situations.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority adjourned at 9:36 A.M. and will meet again in regular session July 11, 2013.
