BISMARCK MUNICIPAL PARKING AUTHORITY

MEETING MINUTES

APRIL 11, 2013

The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A.M. in the David J Blackstead meeting room in the City-County Building, 221 N 5th St., Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presided.

Members present: Jim Christianson, Claire Anne Holmberg, Chuck Hale, Brian Peterson and Dina Baird

Members absent: None

Staff Members: Dennis Torgerson, Rocky Gordon, Sue Schaff, Jason Tomanek

Others present: Lyle Schneider, David Mason, Dave Nelson, LeeAnn Eckroth, Kara Barber, Parrell Grossman and Bob Youness

MINUTES

Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the March 14, 2013 and March 21, 2013 special meeting.

MOTION A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Brian Peterson and unanimously approved by all members present that the minutes of the March 14 and March 21, 2013 meetings be approved.

REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

MOTION: A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Claire-Anne Holmberg with a roll call vote, Chuck Hale-aye, Claire-Anne-aye Dina Baird-aye, Brian Peterson-aye and Jim Christianson-aye to approve the March financial statement.

RAMP DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

Kara Barber and Bob Youness presented the Sixth Street Ramp renderings and informed the Board that the bid packet will go out on Monday.

APPEARANCE BY LYLE SCHNEIDER-GALLERIA BACK LOT

MOTION: A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Chuck Hale with a roll call vote, Chuck Hale-aye, Claire-Anne-aye, Dina Baird-aye, Brian Peterson-aye and Jim Christianson-aye to have Jim Christianson and Rocky Gordon proceed to work on the specs for the paving of the Galleria back lot.

PARKADE REMODEL UPDATE

Dave Nelson reported that the contracts were to be completed 4/11/13. Construction is to start in early May.

Dave Nelson also reported on the status of the Becker Project. Consensus of the Board was to have Rocky Gordon contact Rick Becker about requiring payment for held parking to commence June 1, 2013.

Dave Nelson reported that he was waiting for the electrical cost estimates on the Parkade signage project.

OTHER BUSINESS

Site selection update: There was nothing to report at this time.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority adjourned at 10:15 A.M. and will meet again in regular session May 9, 2013.

A special meeting is scheduled for May 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM after the bid opening of the Sixth Street ramp project.
