BISMARCK MUNICIPAL PARKING AUTHORITY
MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER 14, 2017
The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A.M. in the David J Blackstead meeting room in the City-County Building, 221 N 5th St., Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presided.
Members present: Jim Christianson, Claire Anne Holmberg, Brian
Peterson, Russ Kadlec and Dina Baird
Members absent: None
Staff Members: Rocky Gordon, Sue Schaff, Dennis Torgerson,
Kyle Snyder, Will Hutchings, Dan Nairn
Others present: Commissioner Shawn Oban, Chris Wentz, Kate
Herzog, Madison Cermak, Jason Tomaneck, Lara
Loritz, Samantha Schwab, Andrew Stromme,
Brad Legreid, Nate Hacker, Jarred Roloff and
David Witham.
MINUTES
Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the November 9, 2017
meeting.
MOTION A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Russ Kadlec
and unanimously approved by all members present that the
minutes of the November 9, 2017 meeting be approved.
REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
MOTION: A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Brian
Peterson with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Claire Anne-aye, Dina-aye
Brian-aye and Jim-aye to approve the November financial statement.
APPEARANCE BY CHRIS WENTZ OF CW STRUCTURAL TO FURTHER DISCUSS GALLERIA RAMP
Chris Wentz recommended no other testing be done on Levels C & D. He recommended instead that the bid documents be redone to include additional testing.
MOTION: A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Russ
Kadlec with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Claire Anne-aye, Dina-aye
Brian-aye and Jim-aye to have CW Structural prepare the construction
documents and the bid package for repairs on the Galleria Ramp.
ANNUAL REVIEW OF PARKING RATES
MOTION: A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Claire Anne
Holmberg with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Claire Anne-aye, Dina-aye
Brian-aye and Jim-aye to continue the discussion of the parking rates
in the Spring of 2018.
REVIEW MEETING ATTENDANCE REPORT
OTHER BUSINESS
General discussion was held about the loan from the City. Tabled until the next meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority adjourned at 9:47A.M. and will meet again in regular session January 11, 2018.
