MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 8, 2018
The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A.M. in the David J Blackstead meeting room in the City-County Building, 221 N 5th St., Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presided.
Members present: Jim Christianson, Claire Anne Holmberg, Dina Baird
Brian Peterson and Russ Kadlec
Members absent: None
Staff Members: Rocky Gordon, Sue Schaff, Dennis Torgerson,
Kyle Snyder, Will Hutchings
Others present: Kate Herzog, Madison Cermak, Jason Tomaneck
and Commissioner Shawn Oban
MINUTES
Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the January 11, 2018
meeting.
MOTION A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Dina Baird
and unanimously approved by all members present that the minutes of the
January 11, 2018 meeting be approved.
REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
MOTION: A motion was made by Dina Baird, seconded by Claire Anne Holmberg
with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Claire Anne-aye, Dina-aye, Brian-aye,
and Jim-aye to approve the January financial statement.
REPORT ON GALLERIA INSURANCE COVERAGE
Rocky Gordon reported that the insurance company (State Fire and Tornado Fund) gave notification that the coverage on the Galleria Ramp has been changed to an Actual Cash basis. If and when repairs are completed they will consider going back to Replacement Cost coverage.
OTHER BUSINES
Jim Christianson reported the he did update the City Commission on the condition of the Galleria Ramp.
Rocky Gordon reported that CW Structural is completing the bid packets on the Galleria Ramp repairs. He will have the information at the next meeting.
Rocky Gordon reported that the Sump Tank at the Parkade has been replaced.
Rocky Gordon reported that we are getting pricing on a pay station for the Sixth Street Ramp. He will report back at the next meeting.
DOWTOWNER’S PARKING ARRANGEMENT
MOTION: A Motion was made by Dina Baird, seconded by Brian Peterson with
a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Claire Anne-aye, Dina-aye, Brian-aye and
Jim-aye to continue the marketing/parking arrangement with the
Downtowners.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority adjourned at 9:32A.M. and will meet again in regular session March 8, 2018.
