MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 8, 2024
The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A.M. in the Tom Baker Room, Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presiding.
Members present: Jim Christianson, Josh Keller, Todd Kovash, Jake Axtman and Kyle Holwagner
Members absent: None
Staff Members: Jeremy Petron, Sue Schaff, Dennis Torgerson Corey Voegele, Isak Johnson
Others present: Jannelle Combs, Kate Herzog and Maria Fleck
MINUTES
Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the January 11, 2024 meeting.
MOTION: A motion was made by Kyle Holwanger, seconded by Todd Kovash and unanimously
approved by all members present that the minutes of the January 11, 2024 meeting be
approved.
REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
MOTION: A motion was made by Todd Kovash, seconded by Josh Keller with a roll call vote, Josh-aye,
Kyle-aye, Todd-aye, Jake-aye, and Jim-aye to approve the January financials.
UPDATE ON RAMPS PARKING “HOW TO” MARKETING VIDEO
- Jake Axtman presented a short video on “How to use the ramps.” The Empower (ED) students are editing
the video. General discussion was held and the Board decided to wait until the final edit before
distributing for public viewership.
OTHER BUSINESS
- Jeremy Petron reported that the cost of a new pickup through City Fleet is $44,675. The purchase has to be
approved by the City Commission at the February 27 meeting.
- General discussion was held on uses for the Parkade vacant commercial space.
- General discussion was held regarding traffic stop at 3rd Street and Thayer Avenue.intersection. Parking
Authority management to provide comments to include on Public Discussion.
- Jeremy Petron reported he is checking with City Finance for details on possibly using paymentus system
for credit card processing.
ADJOURNMENT
- There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking
Authority adjourned at 9:27 A.M. and will meet again on March 14, 2024.
