MEETING MINUTES
JANUARY 10, 2013
The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A.M. in the second floor conference room in the City-County Building, 221 N 5th St., Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presided.
Members present: Jim Christianson, Claire Anne Holmberg, Chuck Hale and Brian Peterson
Members absent: Dina Baird
Staff Members: Rocky Gordon, Sue Schaff, Jason Tomanek
Others present: Kate Herzog, Dawn Kopp, Dave Nelson,Morgan Andenas, Parrell Grossman and LeeAnn Eckroth
MINUTES
Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the December 11, 2012 meeting.
MOTION A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Brian Peterson and unanimously approved by all members present that the
minutes of the December 11, 2012 meeting be approved.
REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
MOTION: A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Chuck Hale and unanimously approved by all members present to approve the December financial statement.
LEAF DESIGN SIGNAGE RECOMMENDATIONS
MOTION: A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Brian Peterson with a roll call vote, Chuck Hale-aye, Claire Anne Holmberg-aye, Brian Peterson-aye and Jim Christianson aye to proceed with the signage for the Parkade Ramp.
REVIEW OF DOWNTOWNERS REQUEST FOR PARKING & ADVERTISING TRADE
MOTION: A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Chuck Hale with roll call vote Chuck Hale-aye, Claire Anne Holmberg-aye, Brian Peterson-aye, and Jim Christianson-aye to continue the agreement of the trade out of advertising for 2 parking spots at the Third & Main Ramp for 2013.
OTHER BUSINESS
Ramp Development—Parrell Grossman reported that the City will be moving forward with the development of a new parking ramp at the corner of Sixth & Thayer. General discussion was held about other future sites for parking ramps. Jim Christianson appointed Brian Peterson to serve on a committee with himself to discuss other possible future sites for ramp development.
Becker Project—Jim Christianson updated the Parking Authority that the Becker project is proceeding with occupancy to occur as early as May 2013.
Parkade Remodel—Dave Nelson reported that the plans were complete and the first ad for bids will begin on Tuesday January, 15 2013 to run for 3 consecutive weeks.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no futher business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority adjourned at 10:02 A.M. and will meet again in regular session February 14, 2013.
