BISMARCK MUNICIPAL PARKING AUTHORITY

MEETING MINUTES

JULY 13, 2017

The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at                                                                                               9:00 A.M. in the David J Blackstead meeting room in the City-County Building, 221 N 5th St.,                                                                                 Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presided.

 

Members present: Jim Christianson, Brian Peterson,

                              and Russ Kadlec via phone.

Members absent:   Claire Anne Holmberg, Dina Baird

Staff Members:      Rocky Gordon, Sue Schaff, Dennis Torgerson,

                               Kyle Snyder, Will Hutchings, Daniel Narum

 

Others present: Kate Herzog, Andrew Stromme and Commissioner

                         Shawn Oban

MINUTES

Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the June 8, 2017

meeting.

 

MOTION A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Russ Kadlec

                 and unanimously approved by all members present that the minutes

                 of the June 8, 2017 meeting be approved.

　

REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

MOTION: A motion was made by Russ Kadlec, seconded by Brian Peterson

                  with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Brian-aye and Jim-aye to approve

                  the June financial statement.

　

UPDATE ON PARKADE REPAIR PROJECT

Rocky Gordon reported that there was another break in the tendons while tensioning one of the                                                                            repaired tendons. Jim and Rocky discussed the situation and made the decision for repair                                                                                          because it was time sensitive.

 

MOTION: A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Russ Kadlec

                  with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Brian-aye and Jim-aye to approve

                  the decision Jim and Rocky had to make to do the repair at an

                  estimated cost of $18,000.

　

OTHER BUSINESS

Rocky Gordon reported that the Sanford Lease at the Parkade is up for renewal in October.                                                                                General discussion was held about the lease terms. Rocky will handle the negotations with Jim’s                                                                     approval over final terms.

PAY REQUEST

There were no pay requests.

 

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal                                                              Parking Authority adjourned at 9:27 A.M. and will meet again in regular session August 10,                                                                       2017.
