MEETING MINUTES
JUNE 11, 2020 ONLINE MEETING
The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A.M. in an online meeting via zoom, Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presided.
Members present: Jim Christianson, Brian Peterson and Dina Baird
Members absent: Russ Kadlec and Kyle Holwagner
Staff Members: Rocky Gordon, Sue Schaff, Dennis Torgerson,
Corey Voegele, Jeremy Petron, Daniel Nairn,
Others present: Commissioner Shawn Oban, Kate Herzog,
and Jannelle Combs and others may have
been present online.
MINUTES
Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the May 14, 2020 meeting.
MOTION A motion was made by Dina Baird, seconded by Brian Peterson
and unanimously approved by all members present that the minutes
of the May 14, 2020 meeting be approved.
REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
MOTION: A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Dina Baird
with a roll call vote, Brian-aye, Dina-aye and Jim-aye to approve
the May Financials.
UPDATE ON PARKADE REPAIR PROJECT
Jeremy Petron reported that the Parkade repair project is slightly behind and is scheduled to be completed by mid July.
General discussion was held on the costs per parking space for operating expenses and major repair and capital improvements items.
UPDATE FROM TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE
Dina Baird reported that the requested spec from Amano McGann was received. Tabled until the next meeting.
The Paystation at the Sixth & Thayer ramp is being installed on Tuesday June 16, 2020.
PARKADE ROOF REPLACEMENT BID OPENING
Jeremy Petron reported that there were 2 bids received for the roof replacement project.
MOTION: A motion was made by Dina Baird, seconded by Brian Peterson
with a roll call vote, Brian-aye, Dina-aye and Jim-aye to accept
the bid from Tecta America for the roof replacement at the
Parkade for a cost of $70,869.
OTHER BUSINESS
Review Pay Requests and funds transfer
MOTION: A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Dina Baird
with a roll call vote, Dina-aye, Brian-aye and Jim-aye to approve
the pay requests from Vector Construction, CW Stuctural and
Capital City Construction for a total amount of $138,223.75.
The motion also approved the transfer of funds from the city
reserve account.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority adjourned at 9:36 A.M. and will meet again in regular session July 9, 2020.
