MEETING MINUTES
MAY 11, 2017
The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A.M. in the David J Blackstead meeting room in the City-County Building, 221 N 5th St., Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presided.
Members present: Jim Christianson, Claire Anne Holmberg,
Brian Peterson and Russ Kadlec
Members absent: Dina Baird
Staff Members: Rocky Gordon, Sue Schaff, Dennis Torgerson,
Kyle Snyder, Daniel Nairm, Will Hutchings

MINUTES
Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the April 13, 2017
meeting.
MOTION A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Brian
Peterson and unanimously approved by all members present that
the minutes of the April 13, 2017 meeting be approved.
REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
MOTION: A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Claire Anne
Holmberg with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Claire Anne-aye,
Brian-aye and Jim-aye to approve the April financial statement.
UPDATE ON PARKADE REPAIR PROJECT
Rocky Gordon reported that Vector Construction discovered two more structural tendon breaks.
MOTION: A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Russ Kadlec
with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Claire Anne-aye, Brian-aye and
Jim-aye to approve the repair of the two breaks not to exceed a
cost of $25,000.
UPDATE WEST SIDE (Fifth) STREET FAÇADE
Consensus of the Board was to update the ribbed portion of the 5th Street Façade.
OTHER BUSINESS
Mark Berg gave a report to the Board about the changes to Downtown Parking.
Rocky Gordon was asked to hire a consultant to create a bid spec for the replacement of the Parkade cooling tower sump tank.
Bicycle Parking Project
Will Hutchings reported that the bike racks are completed and will be installed on May 14, 2017. The fence will be installed following the installation.
PAY REQUEST
MOTION: A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Brian
Peterson with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Claire Anne-aye, Brian-aye
and Jim-aye to approve the pay request from Vector Construction
for partial payment on the Parkade Ramp repairs.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority adjourned at 9:48 A.M. and will meet again in regular session June 8, 2017.
