BISMARCK MUNICIPAL PARKING AUTHORITY
MEETING MINUTES - OCTOBER 13, 2011
The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A. M. in the second floor conference room in the City-County Building, 221 N 5th St., Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presided.
Members present: Jim Christianson, Claire Anne Holmberg, Dina Baird, Chuck Hale, and Brian Peterson
Members absent: None
Staff Members: Rocky Gordon, Sue Schaff and Dennis Torgerson
Others present: Dawn Kopp, Kate Herzog, Jason Tomanek, Steve Saunders, Dale Zimmerman, Lyle Schneider and Jon Holth
MINUTES
Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the September 8, 2011 meetings.
MOTION A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Brian Peterson and unanimously approved by all members present that the minutes and executive minutes of the September 8, 2011 meetings be approved.
REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
MOTION A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Chuck Hale and unanimously approved by all members present to approve the September financial statement.
APPEARANCE BY DOWNTOWNERS TO DISCUSS AFTER HOURS PARKING
MOTION A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Dina Baird for free parking from 4 PM – 4 AM at the 3rd & Main Ramp only on a trial basis. We reserve the right for special events and can be changed at any time. Roll Call vote called by Chairman Jim Christianson. Chuck Hale-nay, Claire Anne Holmberg-nay, Brian Peterson-aye, Dina Baird-aye, and Jim Christianson-nay. Motion failed.
Chairman Jim Christianson appointed a committee consisting of Chuck Hale and Brian Peterson to continue to explore viable options on the after hours parking issue.
PRICING ON GARAGE KEEPER LIABILITY COVERAGE
MOTION A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Claire Anne Holmberg and unanimously approved by all members present to reduce the Garage Keeper Liability to $250,000 at renewal time.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority adjourned at 10:26 A.M. to meet again November 10, 2011.
