BISMARCK MUNICIPAL PARKING AUTHORITY

MEETING MINUTES

SEPTEMBER 12, 2019

The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00                                                                                         A.M. in the David J Blackstead meeting room in the City-County Building, 221 N 5th St.,                                                                                      Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presided.

Members present: Jim Christianson, Russ Kadlec, Brian Peterson

and Dina Baird

Members absent: Kyle Holwagner

Staff Members: Rocky Gordon, Sue Schaff, Dennis Torgerson,

Kyle Snyder, Daniel Nairn

Others present: Janelle Combs and Derek Kost

MINUTES

Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the August 8, 2019 meeting.

MOTION A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Russ Kadlec

and unanimously approved by all members present that the minutes

of the August 8, 2019 meeting be approved.

REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

MOTION: A motion was made by Dina Baird, seconded by Brian Peterson

with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Dina-aye, Brian-aye and Jim-aye

to approve the August financial statement.

REPORT ON PARKADE TESTING

Derek Kost from CW Structural reported that after testing it showed a broken tendon on the yellow level of the Parkade Ramp. The testing also showed some corrosion on the spiral. He also reported that on the Third & Main Ramp there are some areas that should be further                           investigated for corrosion of the tendons.He presented a proposal to have Walker come onsite and investigate and give direction on the                  PT tendon investigations and to also do an assessment on the ramps.

MOTION: A motion was made by Dina Baird, seconded by Brian Peterson

with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Dina-aye, Brian-aye and Jim-aye

to accept the proposal from CW Structural not to exceed $58,300.

There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority                                                   adjourned at 9:32 A.M. and will meet again in regular session October 10, 2019.
