BISMARCK MUNICIPAL PARKING AUTHORITY
MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 12, 2024
The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A.M. in the Tom Baker Room, Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presiding.
Members present: Jim Christianson, Jake Axtman, Kyle Holwagner, Josh Keller and Todd Kovash
Members absent: None
Staff Members: Jeremy Petron, Sue Schaff, Dennis Torgerson Corey Voegele, Isak Johnson
Others present: Mayor Mike Schmitz and Jannelle Combs
MINUTES
Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the August 8, 2024 meeting.
MOTION: A motion was made by Kyle Holwagner, seconded by Todd Kovash and unanimously approved by
all members present that the minutes of the August 8, 2024 meeting be approved.
REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
MOTION: A motion was made by Josh Keller, seconded by Jake Axtman with a roll call vote, Josh-aye, Kyle-aye,
Todd-aye, Jake-aye, and Jim-aye to approve the August financials.
REVIEW RFP BIDS FOR PARKADE RAMP REPAIRS ENGINEER SERVICES AND CONSTRUCTION
- Jeremy Petron reported that there was only one bid for the engineer services and construction documents contract.
MOTION: A motion was made by Jake Axtman, seconded by Kyle Holwagner with a roll call vote, Josh-aye,
Kyle-aye, Jake-aye, Todd-aye and Jim-aye to approve and award the engineering contract for the
Parkade Ramp repairs to CW Structural for $82,900.
OTHER BUSINESS
- Jeremy Petron reported that the Sanford tenant space had flood water damage from the August 13th extreme
rain event. Mitigation was handled through Arrow Cleaning. Restoration repairs are the next step. The Parkade
Building insurance policy does not include flood insurance.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority adjourned at 9:15 A.M. and will meet again on October 10, 2024.
