MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER 13, 2018
The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A.M. in the David J Blackstead meeting room in the City-County Building, 221 N 5th St., Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presided.
Members present: Jim Christianson, Claire Anne Holmberg,
Brian Peterson, Dina Baird and Russ Kadlec
Members absent: None
Staff Members: Rocky Gordon, Sue Schaff, Dennis Torgerson,
Kyle Snyder, Daniel Nairn
Others present: Commissioner Shawn Oban, Kate Herzog,
Madison Cermack and Janelle Combs
MINUTES
Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the November 8, 2018 meeting.
MOTION A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Brian
Peterson and unanimously approved by all members present that
the minutes of the November 8, 2018 meeting be approved.
REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
MOTION: A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Dina Baird
with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Claire Anne-aye, Dina-aye,
Brian-aye and Jim-aye to approve the November financial statement.
UPDATE ON CHANGE IN GALLERIA SPRINKLER SYSTEM
At management’s request the City reviewed the necessity for continuing to sprinkle the Galleria Ramp. After a review they concluded that only levels A & B need a sprinkling system. Dennis Torgerson reported that levels A & B have been isolated and the rest of the system has been shut down.
REPAIR TO SKYWALK
Rocky Gordon reported that the drivit is patched for the winter. The rest is deferred until Spring.
OTHER BUSINESS
Pinch & Pour—Discussion was held on the eviction of Pinch & Pour. The eviction hearing was scheduled for 10:30 December 14, 2018.
Update on Parkade Lease—Rocky Gordon reported the lease with Sanford was completed.
Pay Station for Sixth Street Ramp--Tabled until the next meeting
Jim Christianson reported the Committee will be working on the RFP for the management contract after the first of the year.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority adjourned at 9:40 A.M. and will meet again in regular session January 10, 2019.
