MEETING MINUTES

MAY 14, 2026

 

 

The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A.M. in the Tom Baker Room, Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presiding.

 

Members present: Jim Christianson, Jon Burger, Todd Kovash, Jake Axtman and Trevor Vannett (via phone)

Members absent: None

Staff Members: Jeremy Petron, Sue Schaff, Dennis Torgerson, Corey Voegele, Brent Schafer and Isak Johnson

Others present: Mayor Mike Schmitz, Kate Herzog, Randy Kovar, Dave Malarkey

 

PUBLIC COMMENT---No Public Comment

 

MINUTES

- Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the April 9, 2026 meeting.

     MOTION: A motion was made by Trevor Vannett, seconded by Jon Burger and unanimously approved by all

                      members present that the minutes of the April 9, 2026 meeting be approved.

 

REVIEW FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

     MOTION: A motion was made by Todd Kovash, seconded by Jake Axtman with a roll call vote, Jon-aye,

                       Todd-aye, Jake-aye, Trevor-aye, and Jim-aye to approve the April financials.

 

REVIEW BID FROM RFP FOR SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS PROJECT

     MOTION: A motion was made by Trevor Vannett, seconded by Jake Axtman with a roll call vote,

                       Jon-abstaining, Todd-aye, Jake-aye, Trevor-aye, and Jim-aye to award the bid for

                       Tier I-(Ramps & extra cameras) and Tier 2-(add cameras to the stairwells) to Electronic

                       Communications for a total of $181,502.33.

 

REVIEW BIDS FROM RFP FOR 3^RD&MAIN RAMP ELEVATOR PROJECT

     MOTION: A motion was made by Trevor Vannett, seconded by Todd Kovash with a roll call vote,

                       Jon-aye, Todd-aye, Jake-aye, Trevor-aye and Jim-aye to award the bid for upgrading the

                       mechanical control boards for the 3^rd & Main elevator to Larson Elevator for $112,776.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority adjourned at 9:21 A.M. and will meet again at the next regular scheduled meeting on June 11, 2026.
