BISMARCK MUNICIPAL PARKING AUTHORITY

MEETING MINUTES

                                                                                                           NOVEMBER 12, 2015

 

The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at                                                                                                                  9:00 A.M. in the David J Blackstead meeting room in the City-County Building, 221 N 5th St.,                                                                                                     Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presided.

 

Members present: Jim Christianson, Brian Peterson, Dina Baird

                           Claire Anne Holmberg and Russ Kadlec

 

Members absent: None

 

Staff Members:  Rocky Gordon, Sue Schaff, Dennis Torgerson

                        Alan Mastel and Jason Tomaneck

 

Others present: Kate Herzog, Lyle Schneider and Madison Cermak

 

MINUTES

Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the October 8, 2015

meeting.

 

MOTION A motion was made by Claire Anne Holmberg, seconded by Brian

             Peterson and unanimously approved by all members present that the

             minutes of the October 8, 2015 meeting be approved.

 

REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

 

MOTION: A motion was made by Brian Peterson, seconded by Russ Kadlec

              with a roll call vote, Russ-aye, Claire Anne-aye, Dina-aye, Brian-aye

              and Jim-aye to approve the October financial statement.

 

APPEARANCE BY LYLE SCHNEIDER

Discussion was held about the parking rate increase. No change to the increased rate was made.

 

REVIEW COST ESTIMATE FOR PARKADE RAMP

 

Rocky Gordon reported that the engineer did not have the cost estimate prepared for this meeting.                                                                                                 No Action was taken.

 

OTHER BUSINES

Update on Galleria Repair Project.

Chairman Christianson reported that things are still moving forward. It was the consensus of the                                                                                                 Board to continue to hold on the repair project.

 

Update on Parkade entry ramp project.

Rocky Gordon reported that work was progressing nicely and the ramp will be able to remain                                                                                                        open for the remainder of the project.

 

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal                                                                                                             Parking Authority adjourned at 9:56 A.M. and will meet again in regular session December 10,                                                                                                   2015.
